About Us
In October 2021, Franklin Parish High School in Winnsboro, LA, JROTC held an Anti-Bullying Rally to raise awareness about bullying. While preparing for the rally, Emma Jones Blackshire, an educator, discovered a troubling link between bullying and numerous suicides. This discovery compelled Emma to have each cadet write about a bullying incident they had experienced or witnessed. One critical question posed to the students was, "Did you report it, and if so, what were the results?" Astonishingly, many students responded that they did not report the bullying because they believed, "they’re not going to do anything anyway."
The hopelessness expressed by the students deeply moved Emma. Recognizing the urgent need for action, she was inspired to create “Bullying: RIP (Report It Please).” Based in Winnsboro, LA, Bullying RIP (Report It Please) is a 501c3 Tax Exempt Nonprofit Charitable Organization under the classification of an organization to prevent cruelty to Children.
